Hamid has gained weight. He now weighs 88 kg, which is 10% higher than his normal weight. What is Hamid's normal weight?

    Let 'x' be the initial weight of Hamid.

    He gained 0.10x kg (10% of his first weight)

    His current weight:

    0.10x + x = 88

    1.10x = 88

    x = 88/1.10

    x = 80 kg
