    Ax^2 + Bx + C

    A = 1

    B = - 12

    C = 36

    Find two numbers that add to B and multiply to C

    -6 + - 6 = - 12

    -6 * - 6 = 36

    Rewrite equation by replacing B with the two numbers:

    x^2 - 6x - 6x + 36

    Now factor:

    x^2 - 6x - 6x + 36

    = (x^2 - 6x) + ( - 6x + 36)

    =x (x-6) + - 6 (x-6)

    = (x-6) (x + - 6)

    (X-6) (x-6)

    B
