    Given that, A jar made of 3/16 inch thick glass Radius r1 = 3.00 inches ... (1) Height h1 = 6.00 inches ... (2) We find r0 and h0 r0 = (3+3/16) r0 = (3+0.1875) r0 = 3.1875 inches ... (3) The fomula V0 = π r0^2h0 ... (4) h0 = (6-3/16) h0 = (6-0.1875) h0 = 5.8125 inches ... (5) The formula V1 = π r1^2h1 ... (6) Using (4) & (6) V = V0-V1 V = π r0^2h0 - π r1^2h1 V = π (r0^2h0 - r1^2h1) V = π ((3.1875) ^2 (6) - (3) ^2 (5.8125)) V = π (10.16*6 - 9*5.8125) V = π (60.96 - 52.31) V = π (8.65) We know that π = 3.14 V = 3.14 (8.65) V = 27.17 inches^3 Therefore V = 27.17inches^3
