A bag contains 5 red marbles, 3 blue marbles and 6 green marbles. If three marbles

are drawn out of the bag, what is the probability, to the nearest 10th of a percent, that

all three marbles drawn will be red?

    Blue marble = 3

    Green marble = 6

    Total number of marbles in the bag = 5 + 3 6 = 14

    1. The first draw, we have 5 red marbles out of 14 marbles = 5 / 14

    Now we have 13 marbles left of which 4 are red.

    2. Second draw, we have 4 red marbles and a total of 13 marbles = 4 / 13

    3. Third draw, we have 12 marbles left and 3 are red. = 3 / 12 = 1 / 4

    Probability of drawing all the red marbles = (5 / 14) * (4 / 13) * (1 / 4) = 333 / 364 = 0.9148
