I'm not sure if the question is incomplete but I will write an equation you can use to solve this problem.

The number of books Bree wants to buy is unknown.

We only know that she has $30 to spend, and the shipping cost for each book is $2.

Let x equal the amount of book she buys.

Let y equal the cost for each book she buys.

    xy + 2x = 30

    Best of Luck!
