Rose spent $36 on 2 shirts. One shirt cost twice as much as the other. What was the cost of each shirt?

    One shirt costs $9 dollars and the other shirt cost 27$ dollars. If you split 36$ in half you will have 18 and another 18, but since one shirt cost twice as much as the other you would split 18 in half to get the lower cost of the shirt that cost less money then you would find a number to add to 9 (which is 27) so you would get $36 in total.
