Felice caught 5.4 kilograms of fish this morning. Her dad caught 3,900 grams. How many kilograms of fish did they catch in all?

    Convert the 5.4 KG to 5,400 g. Then add her dad's amount of fish with Felice's. 5,400 + 3,900 = 9,300 g. Convert it back, it will be 9.3 kg. Solved!

    First you turn the grams into kilo grams and since there are 1000 grams in a kilogram 3900 turns to 3.9 so 3.9+5.4 = 9.3kg
