What would you multiply the dividend and divisor by in the following division problem so that the divisor would become a whole number?

23.4: 11.75

    The divisor is the number you are dividing by, so 11.75.

    In order to get rid of the two decimal places, you would need to multiply by the number with at least 2 zeros. So in this case it would be 100.

    You could use 1000 but you'd have an extra zero that you wouldn't need.
