Jessica's friend tried to find the side length of a square garden, but made a mistake:

24 x + StartFraction 12 over 13 EndFraction = 4 (6 x + StartFraction 12 over 13 EndFraction) = Side length = 6 x + StartFraction 12 over 13 EndFraction

Sample response: Jessica forgot to factor from both terms. She should have divided 12/13 by 4 to find that the correct side length, which is 6x + 3/13.
