A rectangle is 3 times as long as it is wide. the perimeter is 60 cm. find the dimensions of the rectangle. round to the nearest tenth if necessary.

a. 7.5 cm by 22.5 cm

    60 divided by 8 = 7.5 (The four sides of a square and then merely add two additional lengths to two sides) Now 7.5 times 3 = 22.5 which gives two sides at

    22.5cm and two sides at 7.5cm total is 60cm
