a flag is in the shape of a triangle and has an area of 6 ft. squared find the length of the base if it's height is 4 ft.

    The area of a triangle can be shown in the equation Area=1/2 (base) (height). Since you are given area and height, you can just solve for the base.

    6=1/2 (base) (4) - --> 6=2 (base) - --> base=3
