    X = 2y + 5

    (x + 2y + 5) - 10 = 22

    (2y + 5 + 2y + 5) = 4y + 10

    (4y + 10) - 10 = 22

    4y = 22 y = 5.5

    x = 2 (5.5) + 5 x = 16

    x = 16 y = 5.5

    (x+2x+5) - 10=22

    3x+5=32

    3x=27

    x=9

    So, the numbers are 3 and 11
