    Total money = $80

    Let x be the no of pounds

    Cost of one pound = $8.37

    Money spent = 80-29.78=50.22

    But 8.37x is also the money spent

    Implies

    8.37x=50.22

    X=50.22:8.37=6 is the no of pounds
