Paul is going to install tiles on the floor of a swimming pool. The swimming pool is 15 meters long by 7 meters wide. A tile costs $6 and covers 1 square meter of area. What is the cost of installing tiles on the floor of the swimming pool?

    15 x 7 = 105 square meters

    If each tile covers one square meter, you are going to need 105 tiles

    (because 105/1 = 105)

    If each tile costs 6 dollars and you need 105 tiles you can multiply these numbers to get the total cost of installing tiles on the floor of the pool

    105 x 6 = $630
