A shade of green paint is created by mixing a certain amount yellow paint with a certain amount of blue paint. The ratio of yellow to blue paint is 3:7

based on this ratio, how much yellow paint would be needed to prepare 5 gallons of green paint?

    3 x 5 = 15 and 7 x 5 = 35

    So the ratio would be 15 : 35
