    The equation for this problem would be,

    s = seconds

    f = feet

    s * 20 = f

    So the elevator travels,

    s f

    1 20

    2 40

    3 60

    4 80

    5 100

    You can solve this with proportion

    40 : 60 = 3 : x = > 40x=180 = > x = 180/40 = 4.5 seconds

    Good luck!
