    Odd integers are 2 apart

    so they are x and x+2

    the first is x and the 2nd is x+2

    4 times the first is 29 less than 7 times the 2nd

    4x=-29+7 (x+2)

    solve

    distribute

    4x=-29+7x+14

    4x=-15+7x

    minus 7x both sides

    -3x=-15

    divide both sides by - 3

    x=5

    x+2=7

    the numbers are 5 and 7

    Let the consecutive odd integers be x, x+2.

    Given,

    4x = 7 (x + 2) - 29

    4x = 7x + 14 - 29

    3x = 15

    x = 5

    Thus, the consecutive odd integers are 5 and 7.
