Hello! In order to solve this question, let’s turn the fractions into something by the LCD, which is 12. The way this problem should be is 4/12 - 10/12 - 9/12. When you subtract those numbers, you get - 15/12 or - 1 1/4 in simplest form. The sum of that problem is - 1 1/4.
