    Let an integer be x

    then the other is 2x

    (2x) - ¹ + x-¹ = 1/12

    ½x + 1/x = 1/12

    3/2x = 1/12

    3*12 = 2x

    36 = 2x

    x = 36:2 = 18

    the two integers are 18 and 36
