2x - 4 = 6/3
2. Simplify 6/3 to 2
2x - 4 = 2
3. Add 4 to both sides
2x = 2 + 4
4. Simplify 2 + 4 to 6
2x = 6
5. Divide both sides by 2
x = 6/2
6. Simplify 6/2 to 3
x = 3
