    first term n = 1

    A (1) = - 3. 2 (1) - 1

    = - 3. 2 (1) - 1

    = - 3.2-1

    = - 3. 1

    = - 3

    fourth term n = 4

    A (4) = - 3. 2 (4) - 1'

    = - 3. 8 - 1

    = - 3. 7

    = - 21

    8th term n = 8

    A (8) = - 3.2 (8) - 1

    = - 3. 16-1

    = - 3. 15

    = - 45
