Eliza and Jamie are making cupcakes for a bake sale at school. Eliza need 2 1/3 c of flour for her recipe, and Jamie needs 1 3/4 c for her recipe. They have 4 c of flour. Do they have enough flour for both recipes? Explain.

    2 1/3 + 1 3/4 = 7/3 + 7/4 = (28+21) / 12 = 49/12 = 4 1/12. they are 1/12 cups short of having enough
