Keiko has 5 options to choose from for her favorite band. For each of those 5, she can choose from the remaining 4 for her second favorite, and for each of those 4, she can choose from the remaining 3 for her third favorite. Altogether, this gives her 5 x 4 x 3 = 60 different votes that she could potentially make.
