a joined figure with a half circle with a radius of 3ft and a triangle with a base of 6ft and a height of 7ft. The total area is a design for a mini golf corse and the turf is $1.50 per square ft

    While it says they are joined, we will have to solve them as seperate shapes then add the area at the end.

    Since we have a half circle and a triangle, the formulas for the areas are as follows

    Half-Circle

    it is the regular circle formula, but divided by 2, since it is half the size of a regular circle

    (pi*r^2) / 2

    Triangle

    it is the formula for the area of a triangle, being base times height divided by 2

    (b*h) / 2

    Plug in the numbers into the appropriate variables, then add. you should get a total area of 49.274 ft^2. Then you just multiply the final area by the $1.50 to get the cost of the mini gold course.
