Factor 8x^2-24 by taking out the gcf

Answer: 8 (x^2-3)
Since 24 = 8*3, we can factor out the GCF 8 like so
8x^2 - 24 = 8*x^2 - 8*3 = 8 (x^2-3)
This is using the distributive property.
