Write a function rule for the area of a rectangle with a length of 2 ft less than three times its width. What is the area of the rectangle when it's width is 2 ft.

    Let width = x, then length = 3x - 2.

    So we have area = width * length = x * (3x + 2)

    A = 3x² + 2x

    Now we need to find A (2) = 3 * 2² + 2 * 2 = 16ft²
