    To be able to answer this item, we let x be the number of drinks bought. Similarly, we may represent the number of snacks by the variable y. The sum of the number of drinks and snacks bought should not be more than 12. This can be represented through the inequality,

    x + y ≤ 12

    Furthermore, the total amount spent would be equal to the sum of the products of the number of the cost of each as represented in the inequality below.

    1.05x + 2.2y ≤ 25
