jerry has a length of rope that he wants to cut into 5 equal pieces. if the rope is 21 7/8 feet long should he cut each peice? explain your steps

    To solve this, we simply divide the total amount of rope by 5:

    21 7/8 = 175/8

    175/8 / 5 = 175/8*5

    175/40 = 4 15/40

    Ecah piece should be 4 3/8 feet long
