    Area of the composite figure: A=?

    A=A1+A2

    Area of the parallelogram: A1

    Area of the triangle: A2

    A1=b*h1

    b=2 - (-4) = 2+4→b=6 or

    b=4 - (-2) = 4+2→b=6

    h1=3 - (-1) = 3+1→h1=4

    A1=b*h1=6*4→A1=24

    A2=b*h2/2

    h2=-1 - (-3) = - 1+3→h2=2

    A2=6*2/2→A2=6

    A=A1+A2

    A=24+6

    A=30

    Answer: The area of the composite figure is 30 units²
