permutation is the correct one.

Reason: combination are used to calculate the number of possible selections of objects without regard to the order selected. "My fruit salad is a combination of apples, grapes, and bananas". No matter the order, it is still a fruit salad. - The friends cannot be repeated twice so it is not combination
