    Harold works at a men, s clothing store which marks up its retail clothing by 27%. The store purchases pants for 74.00 suit jackets for 325.00 and dress shirts for 48.00 how much will Harold charge a customer for two pairs of pants, three dress shirts and a suit jacket?

    Y = Retail price

    X = Purchase Price

    Formula: Y = X (1 + 0.27)

    Pants: $74.00 x 1.27 = 93.98

    Dress: $325.00 x 1.27 = 412.75

    Shirt: 48.00 x 1.27 = 60.96

    2 pants: $93.98 x 2 = $187.96

    3 dresses: $412.75 x 3 = $1,238.25

    1 suit jacket: $60.96 x 1 = $60.96

    187.96

    1,238.25

    + 60.96

    1,487.17

    Harold would charge a customer $1,487.17 for two pairs of pants, three dress shirts and a suit jacket at a markup price of 27%
