    (1) I'm surprised they didn't give you the conversion factors, but 1 US gallon = 4/5 of a UK gallon, so 50 US gallons = 40 UK gallons and the other one holds 50 UK quarts = 12.5 UK gallons (4 quarts to the gallon) so the difference in size (12.5 g and 40 g) is 27.5 gallons. 1 UK gallon = 4.5 litres so the difference in size is 27.5 x 4.5 litres = 123.75 litres (2) You have a slight typo - according to you he buys $12 at a time - I assume you mean 12 chickens at a time! Each bird costs 30 c per lb for processing so that is 30c x 7 x 12 = $25.20. Each bird costs $2.75 per kilo and since 1 kg = 2.2 lb, that is $2.75 / 2.2 per lb = $1,25 per lb so at 7 lb average weight that is 7 x $1.25 each, so since he buys 12 that is 12 x 7 x $1.25 = $105 for the birds, so adding on the processing charge that gives a total of $130.20 for 12 birds (3) To change F to C, subtract 32, and multiply by 5/9, so the answer is 100 degrees C
