    2x (x+3y) - 5y (4x-3) + 2 x y

multiply the first bracket by 2x

    (2x) (x) = 2x^2 (2x) (3y) = 6xy

    (-5y) (4x) = -20xy (-5y) (-3) = 15y

    2x^2+6xy-20xy+15y+2xy

    2x^2+6xy-20xy+2xy+15y (combining like terms)

    2x^2-14xy+2xy+15y

    2x^2-12xy+15ymultiply the second bracket by - 5y

    answer:

    2x^2-12xy+15y
