Y = (x-12) ³ - 7
let y = 0, find the value of x.
0 = (x-12) ³ - 7
7 = (x-12) ³
∛7 = ∛ (x-12)
∛7 = x - 12
∛7 + 12 = x
For y to be equal to 0, the value of x must be ∛7 + 12.
