Hamburger selling $1.25 a pound contains 30% fat. how much does the consumer pay for the meat without the fat?

    The consumer is paying $0.875 for the meat without the fat.

    Answer : $ 0.88

    70% is not fat, so 70% of $1.25 is about 88 cents
