A 5'6" person walking down the street notices his shadow. If the angle of elevation from the tip of their shadow to the sun is 60°, what is the distance from the tip of the shadow to the top of his head

    He is 5"6 or 67.2 inches

    The angle of elevation is 60 so

    67.2/√2

    Multiply both numerator and denominator by √2

    The answer is 33.6√2 or 47.38 but its 30 degrees. 90 degrees is 2 times the 30 degrees so it is 67.2√2 or 94.76
