    The answer is A.) Length = 15, width = 9.

    9x2 = 18, 18 - 3 = 15

    15 x 2 = 30, 9 x 2 = 18

    18 + 30 = 48.

    L=2W-3 and P=2 (L+W) and using L from the first equation in the second equation you get:

    P=2 (2W-3+W)

    P=2 (3W-3)

    P/2=3W-3

    P/6=W-1

    W = (P/6) + 1, and since we are told that P=48:

    W = (48/6) + 1

    W=9cm, and since L=2W-3

    L=15cm

    So length=15cm and width=9cm
