A quantity h varies directly with w and inversely with p. If h = 2, w = 4, and p = 6. What is the constant of variation?

    let's take the constant as K.

    h = K. (w/p)

    so; K = (hp : w)

    K = (2x6) : 4

    K = 12:4

    K = 3
