John is 35 years old, and his son is 5. how many years will john be exactly 3 times as old as his son?

    10 years the son would be 15

    (35+t) / (5+t) = 3 - - > 35+t = 15+3t - - > 20=2t - - > t=10 years

    Dad: 45, son: 15 (works!)
