    48,000/12 = 4000 per month salary

    6000 - 4000 = 2000 ... so she has to make 2000 in commission

    4% of what is 2000

    .04x = 2000

    x = 2000/.04

    x = 50,000

    check ...

    4000 +.04 (50,000) = 4000 + 2000 = 6000 (correct)

    so she has to sell $ 50,000 worth of sales
