Samantha is buying carpet for her family room, which is 10 yards by 13 yards. the carpeting is sold in square meters. how many square meters of carpeting will she need? (use 1 yd almost equals≈ 0.9144 m.)

    Therefore,

    10 yards = 10*0.9144 m = 9.144 m

    13 yards = 13*0.9144 m = 11.8872 m

    Area to be covered = 9.144*11.8872 = 108.697 m^2
