jake is reading a 168 page book at a rate of 24 pages per day

    x number of days

    168 - 24 x = 168 - 24 (5) = 48

Jake will have 48 more pages to read

    Julio his reading rate is 1 1/4 times Jake’s rate = 5/4 (24) = 30

    julio’s book is 180

    180 - 30 (x) = 180 - 30 (5) = 180-150 = 30 pages left to read

    How many more?

    48 - 30 = 18 more pages
