Distribute
a (b+c) = ab+ac or
a (b-c) = ab-ac
so
3 (q-5) = 3q-15
2 (q+5) = 2q+10
3q-15=2q+10
minus 2q from both sides
q-15=10
add 15 to both sides
q=25
