The lunch room at Diane's school has a perimeter of 300 feet the length of the the room is 85 ft what is the width of the room

    A perimeter consists of 2 identical lengths

    and two identical widths.

    Therefore 300 ft - (2 x 85 feet)

    = 130 ft.

    Divide 130 feet by 2 = 65 feet (the width)
