A cube is partically filled to the top with 4 mm3 if the water is 1 mm high, what is the length of one side of the cube

    The length of each side of the cube would be 2 mm.

    You can determine this using your formula for volume of a rectangular prism.

    V = lwh

    4 = l x w x 1

    4 = 2 x 2 x 1

    Both the length and the width are the same in a cube.
