    6 + 2 ³ - 4 * 3 = 500

    The parentheses will most likely go before the exponent because that will raise your number up higher.

    (6 + 2) ³ - 4 * 3 = 500

    (8) ³ - 4 * 3 = 500

    512 - 12 = 500

    500 = 500

    So the parentheses will go around the (6 + 2).

    = 8^3 - 12

    = 512 - 12

    = 500
