Change everything to inches so that you can compare the measurements

There are 12 inches in a foot. and 3 feet in a yard. So, multiply 36 yards by 3 to get 96 feet. So, there are 96 feet in 36 yards. Now, change 96 feet into inches by multiplying 96 feet by 12 inches to get 1152 inches

    36 yards = 1152 inches

Change 2 feet into inches by multiplying 2 by 12 to get 24 inches

    2 feet = 24 inches

Add 1152 and 24 to get the total distance, which is 1176 inches

Change 114 feet into inches by multiplying 114 by 12 to get 1368 inches.

    114 feet = 1368 inches

Plus two inches is 1370 inches

So, since 1370 inches is greater than 1176, 114 feet and two inches is bigger than 36 yards and 2 feet
