    Skew lines are never parallel.

Skew lines are non-coplanar lines that do not intersect,

and parallel lines are coplanar lines that do intersect.

The definition of when two skewed lines is "not intersecting or parallel." They don't meet but if you were to continue drawing the lines they would eventually intersect therefore they are not parallel.
