    6 * $10 + 6 * $4 = 6 * $14

    It's the distributive law property - the formula is:

    a * b + a * c = a * (b + c)

    In this situation:

    a = 6

    b = 10

    c = 4

    And 6 * $10 + 6 * $4 = 6 * $14 is the same as 6 * $10 + 6 * $4 = 6 * ($10 + $4)
