For this one a simple way that you can think of it is that 1 pound of banana is equivalent to 100, 3/4 pounds of banana is 75, 1/2 pounds of banana is 50, etc.

    3 1/2 pounds of banana = 350

    3/4 pounds of banana = 75

If i want to find out how many loafs of banana bread I can make if ONE loaf requires 3/4 pounds of banana, and i have 3 1/2 pounds of banana then I divide:

    350 / 75 = 4.66

So, with 3 1/2 pounds of bananas you can successfully create 4 loafs of banana bread. the remaining. 66 is not enough banana to make another loaf.
